Why Pöckau 1?
The project was planned by the architecture firm Skape Architekten. The design comes from DI Stefan Kogler.
Our concept is based on the revitalisation of an old farm. Its history goes back to the Austro-Hungarian monarchy.
The heart of the newly designed residential village is a spacious, natural swimming pond, which is surrounded by seven sustainably-built residential buildings.
When designing the system, great importance was given to energy efficiency - on the one hand to protect the environment, on the other hand to keep operating costs low. It is heated and cooled by a groundwater heat exchanger in combination with photovoltaics. In addition, every home is built to the highest insulation specifications, helping to minimize energy loss.
22 apartments are accessibility friendly (no extra charge).
Why Pöckau 1?
The public transport connections (train, bus, bike path) are very good. If you prefer your own vehicle, there are enough carports, parking spaces and e-charging stations available.
The connection to the fiber optic cable network ensures a fast internet connection.
The well-being of the residents was also thought of. There is a children's playground right in the residential village next to the swimming pond (which can be used as an ice rink in winter) - both TÜV-tested. For adults there is a covered area with a grill, where you can sit comfortably with family and friends. The organic farmers from the region run the village shop, which is being built in the renovated threshing floor.
