Pöckau 1 is situated in the village of Pöckau, in the region of Kärnten – or Carinthia – in south Austria.

 

Pöckau is in the beautiful 'triborder' area – the mountainous intersection of Austria, Italy and Slovenia.

 

Popping into Italy for a pizza or to Slovenia for 'potica' – a traditional pastry – is very much a local way of life here.

Indeed, Italy is only a ten-minute drive from Pöckau, and

Slovenia just twenty minutes. In fact, you can even hop onto the bike way which runs right past Pöckau 1, and reach Italy in thirty minutes. If you keep going along this dedicated car-free bike route – you'll reach Slovenia in another hour.

 

And if you fancy some beach time, you can be on the Adriatic coast of Slovenia, Italy or Croatia in under three hours by road, making trips to the seaside a breeze.
