The Kärnten region is blessed with over thirty ski areas. From Pöckau 1 you are just a nine-minute drive from the home mountain – Dreiländereck – where you can enjoy skiing and snowboarding with dramatic views of Slovenia and Italy.

Nassfeld (https://www.nassfeld.at/en) – known as the top ski resort in Carinthia – offers an extensive 110 kilometres of slopes across all difficulty levels, and plenty of cosy slope-side huts serving local culinary delights, and is just a 45 minute drive away.

Gerlitzen (https://www.gerlitzen.com/en/) – with 20 lifts and 32 runs offers beautiful views of lake Ossiach and is a favourite with both locals and international visitors.

The Mölltaler Glacier, (https://www.moelltaler-gletscher.at/en/) at over 3000m above sea level, will delight powder seekers in winter, yet offers snow-lovers skiing in summer too – and is just 1hr20 minutes' drive from Pöckau.

You are also just twenty-five minutes away from Slovenia's most famous ski town: Kranjska Gora (https://kranjska-gora.si/en) – which has spectacular views of the Julian Alps. And Monte Lussari – a incredible picturesque mountain with a tiny, traditional village perched on the peak, is only a twenty-five minute drive into Italy.
