The area around Pöckau is an outdoor paradise, with extensive hiking and biking trails for all levels.

Enjoy walks along the clear Gail river, hike up to the local mountain – Dreiländereck – and enjoy a cool drink at one of the huts. Cyclists can explore the car-free bike ways that criss-cross the region and take you into Italy and Slovenia. A bike path connecting to the Alpe-Adria Trail runs right past the village.

If you enjoy watersports – the area is perfect for you – with dozens of lakes to bathe in, sail in, fish in and dive in. Faaker See and Ossiachersee are two of the most popular and just a twenty minute drive from Pöckau.

At almost 20 square km, Wörthersee is one of the largest and most famous in the region, offering visitors warm swimming waters, sailing, kayaking, fishing and many other activities.
